1. How do you guide students to learn these color words?
Before listening, learning vocabulary is a good way to clean the obstacles for listening activities, which helps students to understand the information about the listening material.
To make the students learn these color words better, I used real objects as my teaching aid. First, I showed them apples, bananas and grapes. These fruits are familiar to the students and they can recognize them quickly in English. Secondly, I asked them to describe the fruits and then guided them to express the color of the fruits. Finally, I ask students to tell the colors of other fruits with the target sentence pattern, so that students can learn the color words while describing fruits.
In short, vocabulary is learned and used in a real context.
2. Do you have any teaching experience?
To be honest, I’ve just graduated from xxx University and I do not major in English.
Although I don’t have any teaching experience at school, I like English very much. At college, I participated in the English speech contest organized by our school. After more than one month of preparation and continuous deliberate practice, I finally participated in the competition on behalf of my department and won the second prize. Bsides, I was lucky enough to study in Canada for two months as an exchange student during an exchange activity between my school and Canadian colleges, during which I made great progress in English.
English is a kind of tool, and I think the best way to learn English is to constantly seize every opportunities to use it.
